Aaand we’re off! By 6am Friday morning, we’ll take our first steps on South American soil (wahoo!). What has seemed like a vague mirage-y-dreamy-unnecessary thing turned into a trip with plane tickets and contacts and a typed (well formatted) itinerary! The week leading up to the fast approaching departure date, amidst midterms, Emily’s threatening cold, and pre-international-travel jitters, wasn’t exactly relaxing. But with bags checked , boarding passes and passports in hand, and one ugly backpack, the stress melted, excitement grew. The company will undoubtedly make it worth while. I’m so glad, more than anything, to share a passion developed separately in each of our lives and allow our friendship to uniquely grow.
